A New Adventure in Sunday School!
Jesus said... “Suffer the little children not to come unto me.” That is working out to be a bit of a challenge in terms of Sunday School and our current Covid19 pandemic situation! Early last spring, we decided we would have enough help and participation to have Sunday School in 2020-21. HOWEVER, now with all of the challenges of social distancing, the many changes we would have to make, and the need for extra cleaning and helpers, we decided “regular” Sunday School was not feasible. So...
On September 20th, we will have a first “Zoom” Sunday School lesson. (If that means nothing to you, a lesson will be provided electronically that Sunday School families can participate in from their homes.) A Bible story will be shared, a bit of “memory work”, (such as reviewing/learning the Lord's Prayer or the Ten Commandments), a little music, and maybe a craft or a suggested craft. The lesson will be from Genesis, the story of creation. Darla and Sharon will be planning the first lesson and Angie will graciously be helping us with technology. We will see how the first lesson goes and how many families choose to participate before we plan too far ahead. Lessons may not be weekly. Information about how and when to participate will be sent to Sunday School families. This will be a work in progress, but we hope families will participate and help by giving us feedback and support.
Hoping to see our SS kids on “Zoom” soon!
* Third Grade students will receive their Bibles on Sunday November 15th at the 8:30 a.m. worship service. *
